On the call

Phillip will ask about your income, your deposit, any regular commitments and what you’re hoping to do, then give you an honest, plain-English answer on roughly what you could borrow.

Nothing is required for the call itself — a rough idea of your income and deposit is plenty.

If you’d like to go ahead

  1. Decision in Principle (DIP)

A lender's early indication of what they'd lend you, usually based on a soft credit search. Estate agents will ask to see one before they take an offer seriously. Getting one through us means we choose a lender whose criteria fit your case.

  2. Find the property (or the deal)

Search with a realistic budget. For a remortgage, we aim to have a new deal ready to start when your current one ends.

  3. Full application through to offer

We package the application, deal with the lender and the paperwork, and keep you updated at every stage.

Helpful to have, but not essential

If you’d like a Decision in Principle soon after the call, having these to hand saves time:

  • Photo ID (passport or driving licence)
  • Last 3 months' payslips — or, if self-employed, your last 2 years' SA302s and tax-year overviews
  • A rough list of monthly credit commitments (loans, car finance, cards)
